You can contact a voluntary blood donor by opening the particular group of blood required under menu. This would give names and addresses with telephone numbers of voluntary donors with date of last blood donation made.

As there has to be a gap of Three months after every donation, you may scan for those donation dates are earlier to three months. It is preferable to try for those staying/working closer to the hospital where your patient is admitted. You could then ring them up and politely request them as to whether they could make themselves free for donating blood for your patient and give details of the patients ailment, hospital he/she is admitted in and more importantly furnish the timings of the blood bank of the hospital. This information is necessary, as otherwise the donor would be wasting his valuable time by reaching after the blood bank is closed. There is a possibility that such instances would provoke him and he may get himself removed as voluntary donor.

Please remember that those enrolled have voluntarily done so, to help others if they are free as also free of any diseases at that point of time. There is hence every possibility of some of them not being able to respond favorably for the above reason or if they have already donated in the past three months, which may not have been updated.
